Baths of Aphrodite

We are now going to watch the Baths of Aphrodite

The Baths of Aphrodite are located in the peninsula of Akamas in the city of Paphos. The name of the area comes from the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite. It is said that the goddess was taking her bath under vertical rock that flows until today cool and clear water and the myth says that if you bath in this water you will always stay young. While the water flows, it creates a shaded lake and some of the water is poured in the sea. Inside the lake there are many eels and small fish. The flora of this area is very interesting; there are many fig trees, olive trees, carob trees, mastic trees, thyme and during the spring there are many wildflowers, such as cyclamen, Lazarus and anemones. Inside the Baths of Aphrodite there is also a botanical garden with several other plants. It has also a bird watching spot, where you can see a number of birds.
