We are now going to watch the Kouris dam

Kouris dam is located in the city of Limassol in the road towards the Troodos Mountains. From the 107 dams of Cyprus, Kouris dam is the largest water reservoir of the country as it has a capacity of 115 million cubic metres. If the 90 percent of the dam is full, then it can cover the whole island’s water need for two years without any waterfall. Its altitude is 250 metres and collects water from 3 rivers, Kouris, Limnatis and Kryos. Inside the dam of Kouris there are many species of fish such as Roach, Mosquito fish, Carp, Bass, Catfish, Silver bream, Pikeperch, Rainbow trout and Bleak. It is also a good spot of bird watching as many species of birds visit the dam of Kouris.
